Openemr-php7 5.0.0-1 error

After run sudo dpkg -i openemr-php7_5.0.0-1_all.deb i Had :
ERROR
“This package can not upgrade OpenEMR, because OpenEMR is not at /var/www/openemr”

I’m not upgrading openemr. I’m installing…

Help need it !

Hi robertovasquez,

We suggest you to check your Document root path in apache .
What is the document root for your apache directory ?
Either it could be in /var/www/ or /var/www/html
Kindly check this and try again .

Hi @robertovasquez ,

Have you installed a openemr ubuntu package previously on your machine?

try the following command which will list the openemr package and details if it has already been installed:
dpkg -l openemr

After remove the openemr package I was able to move foward. I notice that the openemr 5.0 installer set it up my ubuntu 16 root document to var/www/ for openemr.

The default ubuntu 16 root document is var/www/html.

hi @robertovasquez ,

This openemr package installs to var/www and then uses an alias to work(it does not change the ubuntu root document setting). See the file at /etc/apache2/sites-available/openemr.conf to get an idea of how it works.
