openEMR multiple sites deployment with single mysql?

Hello,

From the wiki it appears to me that for multiple sites, we could share one openEMR instance but there need to be multiple sql databases. Were there any plan on actually maintaining only one database for multiple sites deployment? Pros / Cons? Is it hard to implemented without putting a lot of change to existing code?
