OpenEMR for Hospitals

It appears I’ll be working on a project to make OpenEMR suitable for use by a hospital, including support for 837 Institutional claims.  If anyone else has related plans, be sure to contact me.

Is it a big hospital or a small one?

Will you be developing new forms?  I imagine they could use ER forms based on the individual forms for each problem that many ERs use.  Also H&P forms, discharge summary, orders etc…

It sounds great, adding hospitals to what OpenEMR can do.

It’s a smallish diagnostic hospital.  Yes there will be some new forms, though most of the initial work will probably go into getting the billing right.  Indeed, it will be a cool project!

Dear Mark,

Speaking of forms.  Is the formsript.pl been modified to generate forms that work for the language module?

Sam Bowen, MD

Hello. I have to quote a system for a hospital, where they need to track patients in beds, and beds in rooms, floors and areas.
Do you have anything ready?
Thanks,
Sergio
