Openemr faxing and scanning

I wanted to know how faxing and scanning works,I just enabled Hylafax Support and scanner support.How can I send fax,is there any additional setup/Configuration.

It is not obvious from those threads, but you have to install a hylafax server that OpenEMR talks to. That includes installing a supported FAX MODEM (and the list is very specific).
