Hi @juggernautsei have you manage to solve this one? I encounter some issue running a custom module that need to be run via cron but i get this error " Site ID is missing from session data!". Upon checking how you run your cron job it seems this is the solution for my problem.
Thank you all for the great work in enhancing the fax and SMS modules.
I would like to inquire whether it is possible to integrate our own physical fax machine with OpenEMR, considering that we are using an IP PBX phone system. If this integration is supported, could you please guide us on where to find the API requirements or relevant documentation to ensure proper setup and functionality?
please note that I was not able to register with vendors
Looking forward to your response.
I wish I could help you with that however, I’m not a PBX expert so I cannot answer your question directly. I’ve had some luck using AI in areas where I lack specific knowledge, so you could try that.
The Halifax option is still around an open EMR, however unclear how functional it is.
You can use that project as a guide because all the pieces are there to do what you want to do.
If you want to sponsor, I’d be willing to look into or one of our professional engineers may be interested
Writing a fax integration with your IP PBX is a terrible waste of time. Just use the etherfax integration and save yourself a ton of frustration. Etherfax is solid, uses all copper lines in the etherfax datacenter and has redundancy, is HIPAA & HITRUST, etc. You only pay for successfully completed fax calls. We just enabled etherfax for a client using OpenEMR. It took about 5 minutes. Don’t forget to enable a cover page, since it is a HIPAA requirement. Kudos to the team who created this etherfax integration!
