Open Source Health Unconference at OSCON

Hello,
I am inviting everyone who is interested in Open Source Health IT to join us in the hallway at next years OSCON.

In previous years, OSCON has attempted to have a formal Health IT track, which does not work well b/c there is so little cross-over between normal developers and Health IT developers. So we are trying something new: This year, we are going to have a hallway Health IT unconference. To attend you will need to purchase an exhibit hall pass (which will not let you into the regular OSCON sessions).

The problem with OSCON is that it is too expensive for lots of people from the Health IT community to attend… given that so little of it directly impacts Health IT. This way, if the regular OSCON content is worthwhile for you, you can register with the regular ticket prices ($1000-$2000 usually). But if you only want to connect with other Open Source Health IT people you can just pay $100 for that privilege.

At this stage, I am just letting you know that this is happening… and to save the dates. Its Portland Oregon, USA July 20-24 2014

I will try to reach out again when the conference registration opens.
