One patient, two encounters the same day

I have a patient that has a visit with a doctor at 10:00 and at 11:00 has a visit with other doctor the same day in the same clinic.

I can create the two appointmets and see them in the calendar. It’s ok.

The patient comes and I made the visit with the first doctor at 10:00. ok

When I want to make the visit with the second doctor at 11:00, I tried to make the new visit but a warning message appears Warning: A visit was already created for this patient today!, and I cannot create the second visit with the second doctor.

What do you do in such a case?

In my experience (with 4.0) that is just a warning to prevent creation of an unintentional visit, however, by clicking “OK”, OEMR proceeds to open a new encounter form to start a new visit. In this manner, I am able to create many visits in a day -I have created i think 5 or more in a day without encountering a problem and I am therefore not sure if there is a limit.

Mukoya is correct, it’s just a warning, there is not limit.
