Offline Usage

We are looking at Open-EMR for our NGO based in Ecuador. The use case would involve having tablets or laptops that move with the patient in an offline setting and then sync the team returns to an internet connection. The team works in very rural places thus offline is required. I saw in the developers section that there was a branch that was developing caching for iOS offline usage. Did this ever get completed or any suggestions?

We are developing this for the Peace Corps right now. It should be ready in the next couple of months and they are allowing us to release it to the community after it’s completed. (yehster did the work on it).

There are other ways to do this kind of thing. It really depends on what the purpose of the sync’d database is.

Thumbs UP for this extra for OpenEMR. This would really be a great extra for those working in the field with on and off reliable Internet connections.

Very nice and greatly appriciated, the willingness from the Peace corps to make this available for the OpenEMR community.

I have similar problem of unstable internet .
What is the solution to use openemr without internet?
