We run a strictly cash-based office. When we give B12 injections using the "Fee Sheet" form this shows up in the "Charges" window. We can then use "Co-Pay" option to collect money. But when we use the receipt function the table does not show the Jcode for B12. I have worked around this by making 90772 (CPT for injections) represent not only an injection but B12 specifically on the Superbill with an appropriate charge to cover both the injection and the medication. This will not work long however as this is not the way to code this on a HCFA/CMS 1500 form. They should be two separate charges if I am reading things accurately.
I have the "Inhouse pharm." variable set to "true" so B12 is listed in the medication section.
I looked at the "cash_receipt.php" file but I could not trace where it was picking up the J code in the billing references in "billing.inc" and wherever else it gets its variables.
Thanks for your time.
