New user forum?

Hello. I have looked into OpenEMR a few years ago around 2011, when I felt it was much more active.
I come back as I am relocating my practice and want to explore new options of EMR system, I am checking back on OpenEMR.
I find that there had been very small activity on user forum and many links on OpenEMR are no longer working (including demo account).
I only found a few post since 2012.
I only see OpenEMR developers writing here now.

Anyone know any more active user forum or is this pretty much it?

I want to see what’s the user’s (physicians) view/review on OpenEMR now as so many things had changed last 2 years in EMR communities and softwares as well as medicare requirement.

I like the idea of open source but I just simply cannot use it if not much activity is on going.
I see “xxx” downloads per week but I really believe this mean nothing as this is likley downloaded by developers or computer programmers looking into it (not necessarily means they are developers of OpenEMR).

For physicians, installing EMR is only the beginning of the benefit or horrible nightmares and it is very difficult for physician to change EMR once they have decided one vs the other, so the future of how much or how well it will develope matters as well.

with all these medicare changes, I wonder what other physicians feel about OpenEMR. So, if you know any place where I can get this reviews/opinion forum, would greatly appreciate.

Thank you.

It’s possible that the original poster logged into the old fora and was redirected here.

To the left of his avatar are listed 1961 threads in Help, 1405 in Users & 2780 in Developers. Hardly moribund.

Physicians are generally enthusiastic about OpenEMR. If you are willing to expend time (DIY) or reasonable capital (professional support), it should be a good experience.

A search can be done from the left side panel or with Google on any topic.

It would be simpler to ask about areas which are of concern to the practice. So ask away.
