New patient pop up from calendar

Hi,
I installed the latest patch for openemr v 3.2.0 i.e patch no. 6 but when i select new patient in the calendar for appointment, there is no pop up window which allow for adding a new patient minimum details so that the reception can fix the appointment atleast. Instead there appears a pop up window for searching the patient. Please can you help integrating this feature in openemr? it would be of immense help.

Hi,

You can able to add new patient from search pop up (patient finder search pop up from appointment- add new event), once you hit “Search” button & click on the link “Click here to add a new patient” which takes you the new patient creation form. Having feed with minimum details, create an appointment for that patient from demographics screen. Hope this fulfills your requirement.

Thanks for the piece of info. looking forward for the stable release of openemr 4.0.0 with all those added features. it would be great. Does openemr supports barcode scanners??? I can use them to locate the patients by scanning their IDs.as barcodes.

I am not seeing the “Click here to add new patient” link when I click on a time to add a new event in the calendar.  I am running openemr 3.2.1 on ubuntu with patch 8.  Doing I need to run another patch?

I want to input basic info like name and phone number when making appointments for  a new patient calling in over the phone.

Hi,

The patch 3-2-0-Patch-8 contains “Link to the new patient form has been added to the calendar scheduler pop-up” in its changes list.  Please make sure that the patches are applied as expected (manually the files are need to be replaced).

Also the link “Click here to add new patient” will be displayed in “Patient Finder” pop-up only when the there is no match found in the DB for the searched Name/ID/Phone/SSN/DOB.
