MUO stage 2 - QA findings

visolveemr wrote on Monday, February 25, 2013:

Hi Brady,

As we’d stated earlier, we would be comparing each completed MUO Stage 2 features with ONC’s 2014 final test procedures and would share the gaps.

We believe that the following are the completed modules. Please confirm.

1. Computerized provider Order entry
2. Vital signs, BMI and growth charts
3. Smoking status

Will keep the community posted on our findings soon.

Thanks,

Hi Visolve,

The 3 items listed above are correct. These are basically the items in blue in the completion barometer:
http://www.open-emr.org/wiki/index.php/OpenEMR_Certification_Stage_II_Meaningful_Use#Completion_Barometer

The items will then will get switched to green when finalized (ie. after your testing shows it passes). Would be helpful to place your analysis results (and any other pertinent information) on the individual certification item wiki pages (links to these are below the barometer).

Hi Brady,
Sure will post our findings in corresponding item wiki pages.
Just wanted to let you know there are two color codes for “In Progress” status. Is that intended?

Hi,
Yes, the first is meant for analysis(in progress) and the next is meant for coding(in progress).

Hi Visolve,

Thanks; updated the barometer. Looks like we need to get a couple more criteria to testing status

Brady,

Placed our findings for Vitals in the following link
http://www.open-emr.org/wiki/index.php/Vital_signs,_body_mass_index,and_growth_charts%28MU2%29

Some minor tweak need to be done in BMI calculation.
Please do let us know for any clarifications.

Hi Visolve,

Too funny, the calculation on the testing script is wrong. Here is the BSI of 168 centimeters and 62 kilograms (which is 22.0):
http://nhlbisupport.com/bmi_scripts/bmi_udaim.pl?htc=168&kg=62&scale=metric&submit_m=Submit

This correct value of 22.0 is what OpenEMR is outputting. This is an obvious mistake in the testing script information. Let me know if you still think differently and I will provide more evidence

thanks,

Brady,
Agreed with your first evidence itself… Not needed to provide more

However, would like to inform that any very minor deviation from Test data should be raised as exception to the certification body before testing day. Please make a note of this and during certification we can inform the same.
Updated the test report here http://www.open-emr.org/wiki/index.php/Vital_signs,_body_mass_index,_and_growth_charts_(MU2)
