Brady, after changing codes etc in Administration=>Services or Fee Sheet (CVS demo Online version) I did find an Internationalization Issue/soluiton about the Coding used:
Could you make ICP9, CPT4 and HCPCS translatable? It would solve my problems for coding with a different system like ICPC(medical issues), ICD10(Hospital Medical Issues), PB108(Consultation Price) and Laboratory-Tests.
This would involve at least the ViewScreen AddScreen translations AND also the Printed PDF fiels need to have this translation option.
I konw you wanted some extras to keep you from jogging all day (a good health issue). But keep in mind we are all concerned with your health and we all want it good and sound registered in OpenEMR! ;-))
Translation is not the right way to handle new coding systems. This is done by modifying the configuration file custom/code_types.inc.php. This file also lets you specify various other important attributes of code types.
tanks again, you did show me this in the past, so tnx again.
Question:
Can you remember that these "Coding" changes are something mentioned somewhere in one of the many manuals? If so ,which one? If not, … this is again something to include in the idea of "How to" or "FAQ" files.
I was just alerted for this translation option since I found somewhere in the translation tables the term ICD (Not ICD9) but couldn’t find it back in the regular CVS Demo version. And since there is also a stream that want to include ICD10… But OK, I got my code working with ICPC etc.
Do you know if all printing forms are also complete and settled for the new names of the code, i.e. ICPC and not ICD9?
