MDM Document Default

Hello! First time writing, long time stalking I am nearly a licensed midwife in my community and recently did my master’s project on electronic charting for midwives. I have a self-taught background in PHP and MySQL and love open source! (though most things are FAR too complex for me). I plan to use OpenEMR in my practice.

Just installed 5.0.0 and patched in .7
I’m setting up my Globals and noticed the default for Globals Settings -> Documents -> MDM Document Category Name says “Lab Report”

I am new to HL7 and MDM Documents; never seen or used them before! Should that maybe say “MDM Report”?

hi @wsbc, welcome, it’s just the default value for what folder the reports will be saved in the person’s document folder (when you click on the Documents link under a patient’s main chart page)

Ahhh… and now I see I have to go into Administration->Practice->Documents->Edit categories in order to make my a new folder if I want mine to be MDM Report. Awesome!
