Layout based forms

Can someone tell me how the feature for hiding a field works and will it work for the demographics form. I am trying to keep a field from being displayed when there is information in the SS field.

Thanks

Terry

Hi Terry,

Go to Administration/Layouts/Demographics to change field to Unused in the UOR column. This will hide the particular field irrespective of entered data.

Users in the past have made the mistake of deleting fields in the layout_options table. To their dismay, this maneuver is the quickest way to temporarily toast OpenEMR.

Thanks that will make the field unusable. I have got it working. If you look all the way to the right you will see a question mark and that is used to setup the hidden field.

Thanks

Terry

そうデスね (Sōdesu ne).

A new feature in 4.2.0 (thanks, Rod).

Making the field unusable might have as a result that in Demographics => Edit => there is a mix and confusing layout of the screen! So you have to do additional steps to make it look nice again.

Skip conditions are not currently supported for demographics, only for LBF encounter forms. Am expecting to add demographics support in the future.

No it just applies to fields and their labels. The client and I are currently looking into what the next generation of this feature might include. Just doing this much is, as expected, leading to interesting discussions as to possibilities for the future.
