Laboratory Information System

Brady, that looks good to me, thanks!

The only gotcha might be if the site has more than one diagnosis type installed, but the lab only allows one of them.  Then the user might erroneously choose the wrong type.  But that can be addressed later.

Hi Rod,

Will commit it then. It won’t go to the 4.1.1 patch because I was mistaken in my previous post, since this diagnosis entry does appear to be a new addition (let me know if this in incorrect).

thanks,

Just wanted to mention I’ve started a supplement to the user manual for the electronic lab stuff:

I am trying to understand how this lab orders is going to work?

I installed 4.1.2-dev
and created a procedure order and it created order_1.hl7 file.

my question is how this is going to be sent to the lab?

Thank you

Rod’s message immediately before yours provides user manual. When you set up the provider, you also specified the connection details given by the lab. One would guess that the files will be sent and received using that information. The inbound files will then be processed to get results into EMR.
