After setting up OpenEMR with your help on Raspberry Pi, it will finally go into real life mode next week in our NGO audiologist clinic in Peru. Important is the inventory module, as we have to keep track who got which hearing aid.
As every hearing aid has a unique serial number, I plan to enter this into the LOT field, each LOT only consisting of one part. When dispensing a prescription, this would remove automatically the first device in the inventory list which is “on-site”. More user friendly would be that the audiologist selects the serial number/LOT in stock (e.g. the hearing aid he has in his hands) and use this, rather then telling him for which serial number to look in his shelf.
Is this somehow possible? I understand the “first-in-stock” makes sense for things with an expiration date (would the oldest be chosen or the part first in the list?), but for hearing aids the audiologist should be able to select the part (serial number/LOT).
Any idea how to do this, if possible?
I might also not totally have understood the effect of the settings inventory/prescription/non-prescription drugs in Globals -> Administrations -> Features…
