I'm having trouble understanding roles

I assumed that when I entered a new user using “Doctor” he was going to be able to add new patients and those would only be visible for him.
But it seems that all the rest of the “Doctors” are able to see and modify each other patient records.

I try to look for more information to understand the different roles like Doctor, Practice, Office Admin etc…

But I can’t find it… Thanks.

The Access Control LIst module is a more elaborate system than the roles of owner or Limited accounts in Windows.

It is possible to hide one’s clinical notes, as explained here, but it is not possible to hide the Patient Summary without code customization.
