If you set the units of a code in the database and enter the extended price

I was working on the exclusion stuff that I got from the gracious folks at MI2 (which I am working on getting in the code base), I have it at a client site and they have been using it. They are happy with it as long as they remember to check the bill to patient box. I thought about it for a while and made some changes to the codes screen to include a flag to mark the code as excluded. They use there own cpt codes for copying medical records (1111) things they do not want to go to insurance. While I was messing around in the fee sheet I have a customer that bills a certain CPT code for 8 units and that is the only way they bill it. I was doing some coding to handle that when I realized that if you set the units in the database to 8 and then entered the extended price in the price table it would work just fine.

Long story short Why doesn’t the system allow the user to enter units in the codes screen?

Thanks
