PDF and .jpg files uploaded to the Documents is displayed, but when a .TIF file is uploaded, it is saved but the image is not viewable. The Content area appears with “A plugin is needed to display this content”. How do I download and install the plugin so I can view this .TIF content? Thanks

Hi Visolve,

I’m using the current version v4.2.2 on windows 7 and Firefox and Google chrome.

Thank you for helping.

Thanks for the info. Browsers can’t display tif images as like jpg or png. So the solution will be temporary converstion to jpg or png from tif and displaying in browsers without changing the original source file. This needs to be done in the page at which you need it to display. We hope you need it on Patient -> Documents screen whenever selecting the corresponding tif image. Is this correct? Let me know so that we can start implementing.

2 options:

  1. Use tiff2pdf on server or desktop - specially multipage tiff files will then be single pdf document.
  2. Install tiff viewer plugin to process tiff MIME - e.g. free one for windows from alternatiff.com
