How to change currency

I have change the Currency Designator at the administrator>globals>locale to my country local Currency which is ₦. but i keep seeing $ when at charge panel, prescription and other places. How can i remove everything so only my country local currency ₦ shows. thanks i will appreciate the help

To get more global coverage of your currency, recommend setting it in the translation module at Administration->Other->Language:
Edit definitions and then place $ for the constant and then set the $ entry to ₦
