HL7 listener?

Hello OpenEMR community,

I am a new user of openEMR. I searched the forum for HL7 interface. It seems I can use local file system to send/receive hl7 message files, but to import a hl7 message file, I have to manually click something. Is there a HL7 listener type of service running on the background, checking on certain port. If there is a hl7 message come from that port, the system automatically import it or do some action.

hi ttkrpink, sorry, there isn’t an hl7 listener. Procedures->electronic reports will import hl7 files into the database and auto match/create patients after you’ve configured the Procedures->provider
