I recently noted that OpenMRS uses a Healthcare Disclaimer in conjunction with their license:

The GPL license does provide global provisions that the author is not liable for damages, but it does seem like a good idea to make it more explicit for healthcare. I remember a couple years back whan an author that was developing an android app in OpenEMR became concerned regarding liability, and actually removed the beta code from public view because of this and left the project; according to the GPL, he was not liable, but the community was unable to convince this author of this. Perhaps a healthcare disclaimer would help if these kind of situations arise in the future.
Already discussed it on a PR and placed it in the codebase, but wanted to get community feedback on it:
