Not sure if this is the right place, but I wanted to say “Hi” to all, and thanks for making this project. I am a developer with 30 years experience, the last 8 specializing in Web architecture specifically with PHP, javascript and a variety of SQL databases. My wife is an Optometrist with multiple offices and we’ve been very disappointed in what’s available for EMR solutions in the market place. I hope to develop, or assist in the development, of an optometric module using OpenEMR. If anyone else has done this, or thought about it, I would love to discuss the project further. I hope to get my feet wet by looking at some of the “needs to be done” items and see if I can’t check a couple of those off the list.

Hi Joe I’m happy that you will develop an optometric module. Git is our distributed version control system that develepors need to deal in or daily basis.
There is a New Ophthalmology zForm with demo and is working good. You will have fun taking a look of this link.

Go Joe Go. I have a few Ophthalmologist for clients and have some work that I did for them which is back in the review process ( reports mostly) I have a form that is not quite ready for the review process .
Payment posting and practice management feature is what I get hammered on.

Terry,
Took a look at your demo and it definitely looks good! I am in the process of getting things set up. Once that’s done, I will get my wife involved (she’s the one who understands the usability of this stuff) and we’ll go from there. Looks like you put a lot of work into this. Added some things I hadn’t even thought of. Great work!!
