**[yehster](https://sourceforge.net/u/yehster/)** wrote on [Tuesday, July 02, 2013](https://sourceforge.net/p/openemr/discussion/202506/thread/79db999a/#5f16): Even though the setup script allows for specifying a port number other than the default of 3306 for the MySQL server, if you use something other than 3306, the port number doesn’t get applied in gacl or sql.inc or the calendar/config.php I installed MariaDB on port 3307 so I could have MySQL still on 3306 and have discovered this problem. ---
