I am using FreeB to generate claims in X12 format. ICD codes are used to justify a CPT code, but when a CPT code is justified by more than one ICD, the generated X12 file does *only* include the first ICD; the other ICD codes do not appear in the X12 file.
Does anyone know if this the correct behavior for the X12 standard? Can anyone help to elucidate this?
