Find Avaiable Appointment (Times) not working

emrtech wrote on Thursday, March 18, 2010:

When I add a new app’t and go into “find available appointments”, I only am able to view the current day.  If I try to change it once an empty window comes up, it just reverts back to the current date, even though 7 days beyond is noted next to the date.  Anyone have this problem and know the possible cures.  Thanks

hey,

Does it work for you on the 3.2.0 demo on the wiki?
Are you setting the in and out slots for each day?

I couldn’t reproduce this problem on the demo, but the date widget isn’t working (posted that bug to tracker).

testing insertion of imagge

emrtech wrote on Thursday, March 18, 2010:

Well, my day is going good.  I can’t seem to insert an image to show what is happening.  I’ve saved the images on my desktop and used available controls to insert an image,  but it wants to use an url.  I then checked the do not use and lost the controls entirely.

Anyway, I have set the in office and out of office times as 6 and 9 respectively.  The 6:00 does not show, only the standard 8:00.  On the out of office time, the ‘OUT’ shows as a line past the 6:00 standard time, but it’s in a brown highlighted area and no times are there on the left.  I can setup an appointment for let’s say 7:30 and it appears, but not times on the left.  I tried going into some of the lists to see if it can be changed there, but nothing I can find.  I checked the db as well, but couldn’t find there either.  I wouldn’t want to change the db anyway, separate of the lists, which I believe is set up to arrange things as necessary.  I’ll keep working at it.

Can’t seem to get into the demo right now.  Don’t know if busy or down?  Also, how do you insert any image from the desktop.  I tried various ways and it always list as a file:///home/marcel/Desktop/in-office.png, which will not put it on the forum site.

Thanks and have a good day

I just went into the demo on one of my other computers, so this computer’s firewall is somehow blocking it.

Anyway, while in the demo, I tried to change the out of office time and it blew out.  I then tried creating a time out of office at 8:00 pm and it goes through the routine but does not appear.  I tried setting up an app’t for 7:30 and it does not appear.  I can setup appt’s for the other times where the time is shown on the left (8-6).  Not sure what’s up.

Back again

As I said before, the app’ts past 6 show up but without times on left.  I can enter out of office time as 8 pm and I just add time in comment area and appears ok, so you can get the time in there somehow.  As far as an in office start time, I entered a 6 am in the office time and it does not appear.  If I double click onto the blue area, the 6 setup pops up and shows the 6 am time I set, so it’s it there, just not showing.  If I set up an appt for 6 am, it does not appear either, but if I go to the patient demographics, the app’t time is correctly shown.  Only problem here is nobody knows that a patient is going to show up at 6.

Test on the demo:

I just tried out date 3/20 and setup a 6 am in and 8 pm out.  The 6 am appears at the 8 am slot.  I’ve put a comment there so it’s easy to see.  I setup lunch, another app’t, and a final app’t for 7 pm for ‘Smith’, but it doesn’t appear.  You can find the app’t in Smith’s demographic area.  If you happen to view it today, you can review them.

Brady:

Sorry that I haven’t responded, but I’ve been super busy last month.  Anyway, thanks for the info on setting the time range.  I’ll try that out and get back.

There still is the issue of the appointment pop-up and the ‘find available’ gui.  Only the current date is available for selecting a time and when you enter any other date, no times will appear OR it jumps back to the current date.  Also, only one day appears, even though 7 (default) is entered.

Thanks

Hi,

While setting up “In office” and “Out of Office” for a user/provider, did you select the checkbox “Repeats” in the “Add New Event” popup and provided your input? You will see the appointments for more than one day  for “Find available”  if you set that properply.

Thanks
