I use cash method for billing, what type of instructions should i follow

fsgl wrote on Tuesday, December 30, 2014:

If the patient pays at the time of service, use the Payment module. See 1.

Alternatively, Checkout can be used. See 2.

A third method is to post the payment from the Fee Sheet as the Copay. See 3.

If there remains a balance, refer to the webpage cited above.

For cash patient, i prefer using payments…as stated by fsgl…need to post the payment during encounter in the fee sheet and the cashier outside will collect the cash from the payment screen. and also print out the receipt.

Checkout is also good, but requires more click and you wont be able to see last encounter details like in the payment.

I have not used copay, because in india people dont understand copay

after all the payments of the day, you can use the newly added day sheet to checkout your whole day income and also go to billings and mark allt he encounters as cleared.

(This is not mandatory though)

Thanks fsgl how to change the currency for indian rupee, what type of steps should i follow

arnabnaha wrote on Wednesday, December 31, 2014:

for changing currency - go to administration->Globals->Locale
Near the bottom of the page you will find “Currency Designator”

Remove the dollar and put the ₹ symbol

arnabnaha wrote on Wednesday, December 31, 2014:

For the billing step by step -

  1. Patient calls your clinic and says that he/she wants to visit your clinic.

  2. we donot have appointment system, but can use the calendar for entry of the patient or even write the name in a form - which I have created in drupal in my website - allowing a serial wise entry

  3. After patient enters clinic - go for registration (for new patient)

  4. Then when his number/serial is called, he enters your chamber and you create an encounter

  5. fill up necessary forms for examination and history

  6. and then you make diagnosis, write up the issue, prescribe medications, and fill in the fee sheet accordingly using your own cpt codes like consultation which charges the patient accordingly as per category or price level of the patient.

  7. next save the fee sheet

  8. the cashier/you yourself can then go to fees->payments and collect the cash

  9. print the receipt, patient summary and the prescription

  10. Thats it…

you can fill out my forms in the website to check out how it works, i wont mind!! and also my clinic wont give you a call right now…

arnabnaha wrote on Wednesday, December 31, 2014:

what is your operating system? I am on wondows 8.1 and it has the new rupee symbol in it…if it is changing to question mark, it means you have to install the rupee symbol…try searching google…

arnabnaha wrote on Wednesday, December 31, 2014:

if it is troublesome, you can always put Rs. in the currency designator.

pandiarajanking wrote on Wednesday, December 31, 2014:

thanks for your info naha i will visit your website later…

arnabnaha wrote on Wednesday, December 31, 2014:

one question, are you from kolkata??

pandiarajanking wrote on Wednesday, December 31, 2014:

how you will link to the open emr entire application in your website…Waiting for tomorrow na?

arnabnaha wrote on Wednesday, December 31, 2014:

Look…why i need to link…because, if i get the patient info from here for the new patients, i can enter it straight into the openemr by my receptionist. it will be matter of 5 minutes.

I have patient portal, the problem with which is it doesnot allow waiting queue and is appointment based…so it will be difficult to implement in a new practice in india.

but, later if i switch to appointment based practice, seeing only by time and specific appointment, then I can use the patient portal efficiently.

arnabnaha wrote on Wednesday, December 31, 2014:

Sourav, one query…after you filled up the appointment form in the website, did you receive an email? can you check whether you got it in spam or inbox?
