Error when running back up

I am getting this error when I try to backup:

Dumping OpenEMR database…
Error in gzip compression of file: /tmp/openemr_web_backup/emr_backup/openemr.sql

I am running oemr 4.0 on a linux machine (web hosting services, no mine), I installed the new updated backup file too.

Unless the web service your are using allows access to the command line tools (like gzip) this won’t work and write access to the /tmp dir,  you’ll need to devise a different way to backup you system.   I do not recommend using a 'generic" hosting service for medical practice data.

Do you mean the one that is included in the web panel? on my panel it is called Backup Manager. Which way do you recommend instead?

I don’t have any recommendation, since I don;t know what your ISP services do or provide you’ll have to talk to them.  Sorry.
