Easy Openemr patch update suggestion

Hi,

Is there anyway Openemr can be developed so it is easy to update the patch by just single click?

At the moment, the patch has to be downloaded from website and then update to webhost or server to complete the update.

Open source website like Wordpress and Joomla can just be updated by single click on the update. It also prompt update message when update version is available.

I believe this will make Openemr more user friendly and improve uptake of Openemr especially those who don’t have good understanding of technical and coding knowledge.

Hi @jhunyan,

Currently, the update process is not as slick as Wordpress or a similar tool.

We encourage volunteers and/or financial sponsorship for project ideas such as these.
