I have checked on the Wiki for information on the E-sign but its very vague.
Is this a digital signature that one can use on the forms and is printed out on forms?
how does one make use of it?

There isn’t an entire Wiki article devoted to the subject. It’s mentioned in passing here.
The login password of the user serves as the digital signature.
Forms can be signed & locked (to prevent any alteration of the clinical note) with E-Sign.
Never printed an E-Signed document, but you can try in one of the Demo’s.
It’s fairly easy to understand how to use it after one or two attempts.

Esign block is printed with each form from the Patient->Demographics->Report.
There is an option in Globals to prevent empty e-sign blocks from printing.
