At this point ,I am somewhat tentative with what was an earlier enthusiasm .
I have downloaded a copy of openEMR and, (With help of a local IT person), down loaded the LBV ophthalmic forms . Am trying to generate an Intermediate exam form with reduced success in the exam
portion (Va cc and sc etc).Is there a system to figuring out the lay out ?
Are there resources that explain how to determine to use Label and Data columns etc.?
Thanks.

No, it is not necessary to have formal training in Computer Science to use OpenEMR successfully. A number of Forum members, who are first and foremost physicians, have taught themselves all this IT stuff.

I assume that you are unaware of this Wiki article. It’s probably more material than you care to know about the subject. The forms were created without the slightest notion of coding.

If you have more questions about the Eye forms after reading the article, feel free to post them.

Rest assured that this is wonderful sport and great adventure.
