To answer my own question, found some helpful information here:

Mysql databaseToo many connections

There is a practice of about 12 - 17 users. They are regularly getting this error message in the PHP error log. Then, the system freezes up and the database has to be restarted. Is anyone else experiencing this? php_error.log (77.5 KB)
