What is recomended for an algorithm to de-identify a live patient database for use in student exercises?

(is De-identify the right word or do I mean Anonymize? What is the difference?)

- What should be the algorithm for de-identifying patient identity and demographics

- Scanned documents must be deleted

- Other procedures

hey,
I’d suggest making dummy data. Likely not worth it to risk confidential liability issues for student/training exercises.
