Currently it’s something like 2 for icd9 and 1 for cpt4. I would like to add a few to split cpt4 into categories like labs, injections, visit codes, surgery etc… to make the superbill look nicer. I see the file under custom where I can make the change.
Any reason not to do this?

I think you may have to fix a lot of stuff, especially in billing, if you did that.
Have you see the ‘fee sheet’ encounter form? It was designed to deal with the clumisness of the superbill, and it’s customizable.

A lot of crazy schemes come to mind to patch up the superbill, but who has time for that? I’ll customize fee sheet and stick with that for now.
