Customizable reports to create from user interface

Has anyone started working on or has code so that the user can create report queries directly from the user interface? Many other EMRs have this. I know that there is a section under Procedure where Statistics Report can be run. Also, there is Clinic report under Client. But, these are just given and you can’t choose your own query fields.

Please let me know. I can help if needs more development.

I have heard rumors, but nothing anyone has released. We just install Pentaho Report Designer http://community.pentaho.com/ and use that for reporting and report creation. If’s very cool and powerful.
