Conference Calls for the project

Hi,

After looking into conference call replacements to our current implementation, I decided to use zoom.us . It was super cheap ($15 per month and I can use it for other things so I am ok with paying for it) and had a nice and easy recording option for the oemr board meetings. The line(ie. meeting id) is basically open all the time and will it use it for both the twice weekly OpenEMR conference calls and the monthly OEMR board meeting conference calls.

Here are the corresponding pages on the wiki to get into the calls:

Hi,

To clarify, the line is open all the time, so it can be used for any other conference calls related to OpenEMR or OEMR.

In addition to maintaining a bevy of Demo’s, the community will be grateful for another generous gift. Sometimes it is not the absolute dollar amount of the gift, but the time expended in the preparation that is priceless. Thank you.

It would be helpful to do a sound check before attending a meeting via computer, instead of fumbling around during the meeting. The auto-detect does not always select the correct speaker/microphone systems, so the attendee may be rendered “deaf & mute”. A link to the sound check tutorial is provided here.

A Board member had noted background noise during the meetings that he attended. A useful feature, Host Mute ALL - Allowing Participants to Unmute Themselves, may come in handy if an attendee neglects to take the initiative to minimize extraneous sounds.
