Color-code calendar by status

Can someone please let me know if the developers are already working on this and, if so, when they should be able to get around to it? If it isn’t a near/mid-term item, I’d appreciate some tips on implementing it.

Don’t know of anybody working on this. To begin to get an idea of how to do this, check out the previous commit where Z&H added a feature to color code the appt by facility:
