Hi,
I see that openemr has multilanguage support. I also see that the /lang directory has hindi-utf-8-inc.php file in it.
How can I change the language used by openemr to display in Hindi?
I am situated in India.
I would also like to know how many doctors and patients can Openemr comfortably support?
Thanks
openEMR uses a module for implementing the calendar. That module uses Smarty and it has native language support. But in openEMR it is only two views of the calendar (month and year) that the native language-support works for.
I am working with adding language-support for openEMR and that will produce a system where you can define all codes for the language of choice.
Concerning Hindi I don’t know enough. But if other applications written in php can be adopted to show texts in hindi I suppose it should be possible to adopt openEMR to it as soon as we reach there.
Your second question concerning how many doctors the system can support I don’t think there is any definite number. It depends first of all on the capacity of the server that is host for the MySql-database server. Secondly it will be a problem displaying calendars for many doctors at the same time. How many depends on the size of the monitor. But you can allways decide not to show more than one Dr at a time and then there should be no difference if it is one ore 250 doctors in the system. The third is that the larger amount of providers you have the more administration will be needed to keep the system running.
