The OpenEMR CCR/CCD project seeks community input on requirements and implementation of a utility program to create a patient identity and medical record in OpenEMR from the contents of a continuity of care record (CCR). This utility, we’ll call “CCR Loader”, will serve as a quality assurance tool for validating the CCR (and later CCD) generation function currently in development for OpenEMR.
The only purpose of this tool is to exercise and prove that the OpenEMR CCR generation function will reproduce the identical CCR loaded by the CCR Loader. It is not necessary that non-CCR related functionality in OperEMR work for the CCR loaded patient record.
The CCR Loader tool is planned to be built upon the existing OpenEMR utility: openemr/contribs/util/import_mi2xml.php
