Pretty sure I just need better glasses, but I need to cancel the check for vitals when the pt is a kid. Isn’t it a global setting somewhere?

Yes, you are correct, OpenEMR does not care about the vitals of an under-age patient.
I was asking on behalf of a customer of ours and your reply led me to discover that the vitals alert was a result of a 3d party addon they had installed rather than a function of OpenEMR, itself.

Why to cancel vitals in kids?, some physicals will require BP with pediatric cuffs, Pulse /temp/ checking pulse oximetry especially if pneumonia in question….so on so forth…

Many practices have their own procedures in place to meet different MU requirements such as this so do not need their computer system to enforce them.
The amount of variation between practices in standard workflows can be surprising!
