Hi,

I am using OpenEMR for my practice. We have a need to send out patient reminder for their appointment set on the calendar. I must be deem but I cannot seems to find a way to do that?
Can anyone help?
The reminder need to be as a printed letter which we would send by post. Most client have a series of appointment and it would be good if we could sent all the appointment dates on the same letter.

Thank you

There is a program called by the unlikely name of BatchCOM. That’s where you start. It can create reminder emails from appointments and other kinds of Batch Communication.

It’s ugly and a bit flaky. I have a version that is cleaned up up but it JUST does appts none of the other functions, be happy to share that.

Others on the forum seem to have done other kinds of things using other parts of the Reminders feature, but I have yet to figure out how, myself.

Though the MAVIQ tool was a bust, never did get it to work so we abandoned it, will have to clean up the wiki on that when I get a chance.

It is less expensive if reminders are in the form of a phone call. See this.

Ask Sherwin, (Juggernaut Systems Express), if automated phone reminders can be adapted for regular post.

The average user will find it difficult to integrate reminders, therefore professional support becomes a necessity.
