Hu Brady,

The page is Fees -> Billing. Where it lists the bill of patients.

Another Question:

How to create a Provider in OpenEMR 4.2.2?

The page Procedures -> Providers -> Add New pop-up is having a drop-down in Name field. And it is blank and cannot enter a new Name.

I could see a checkbox called ‘Provider’ in Users -> Add/Edit User. That is setting the field ‘authroized’ in the DB table ‘Users’. Whether checking that checkbox will make a user as Provider? If so, what is ‘Authorized’ stands for?

Also, checking that checkbox is not listing that user in the page Procedures -> Providers. So what is the page Procedures -> Providers meant for?

Please help.

Thanks
Joby

Hi Joby,
On checking with the link shared (OpenEMR demo 4.2.2), the EMR loads in a different language and I was not able to look up for english. On trying to login and checking for the link, I was not able to look for the “Expand all” and “Collapse all” link that usually used to come up in billing.

The Expand link is also not working.

Anyhow I downloaded and installed locally (OpenEMR 4.2.2) on my local and the above mentioned items in billing worked good at my end.

  1. Creating a provider in Procedures:
The name cannot be added into the procedures -> Providers directly.

The provider details should be initially configured under Administration -> Address book -> Add New -> Service as lab.

Once this is done, the organisation name that is added will be refelecting under Procedures -> Providers and the new names can be added here (Screenshot attached).

  1. Checkbox for Providers:
Enabling the checkbox as providers makes them authorized such that the user will be able to schedule appointment and progress encounter with the providers name. If not authorized this will not be allowed.

  2. Providers in Procedures:
The providers mentioned under procedures are lab providers and not the providers (users) in the OpenEMR.

The lab providers are the one who provide lab specific services that is mapped with OpenEMR.

Hope this answers your questions.

Thanks,

THANK YOU VERY MUCH.
Now I understand the difference between that two Provider types.
