Best tutorial for php and mysql

Another absolutely ignorant question.
I want to figure out how to generate multiple entries in the billing from one click on the fee sheet. I realize that I will need to learn some php and mysql to do this.
I cannot follow how the calls are made from looking at the forms code either with "Fee Sheet" or the slick "CAMOS" form. Both seem capable but I am not knowledgeble enough yet to figure it out.
So tell me where to start. I have some very limited programming background in python and REXX. (Yes I am one of the 15 people who used OS2 at one time.)
Thanks,
Clif Caldwell

PHP has excellent documentation at www.php.net.  Or you may want to hire someone (shameless self-promotion, sorry!) if you don’t have time to figure it out.

Sorry if I made it seem like a trivially easy task before.  It can be done, but it’s not that easy.

CAMOS does not do it yet, but I am working on it.  I have set up the groundwork for it, but I have not had time recently to finish that part yet.  Thanks for the reminder, I’ll get to it as soon as I can.

It could also be done in another form or in Fee Sheet.

If you need it right away, you may want to consult a professional as suggested above.  I highly recommend Rod.

I’ll let you know when I finish the feature in CAMOS.  Between work and two babies at home, it’s hard to find quiet time to work on hard problems

jccaldwell,

CAMOS now supports multiple billing entries.  The most current version is in cvs.  There is some instruction on how to use it posted in the Developer’s forum on this site.

If you install the form, I can help in getting you started.  You may even figure it out on your own by looking at that other post and doing a little cut&paste.

I just finished it and tested it.  It is cool.  One click, and all of those codes are put in.
