This is stated in the “Backup Methods and Scripts”
What tools “software” are use to accomplish this?
Thanks,

hey,
Just to clarify, can you provide the links to “Backup Methods and Scripts”. The tools for backing up are dependent on your OS (windows vs Linux).

Bill, I use a single backup for my windows and linux systems. It runs on a linux server and it is capable of handling both SMB and RSYNC. It works in the home (if you have access to NFS mounts and a linux server) as well as corportate environments,

Bill, we currently use BackupPC which is available with the Debian (Lenny) installation. It is not “real time” where the system is updated when a change is made, but it does allow for scheduling full and incremental backups based on a schedule you define. I use it at home and for the office. It worked out of the box on the main server but required some tweaking when moving the data to an NFS mount.
