Hey folks

I missed you guys at the Linux HealthCare Conf.

I am wondering why OpenEMR is not doing appointment reminders or is it already there?

I also came across fckeditor which I am using.  It also requires simple setup in the server. Or OpenEMR uses something else?

any brainstorm done already on this?

Hey Sankar, tell us about the conference.  Unfortunately I rarely have time to go to those things.

Appointment reminders… you mean an automated phone dialing system?  We already have the ability to set flags in the appointments to indicate, for example, that a reminder call was done.

Fckeditor looks very cool, but really, would docs want it?  Too many of them already don’t like spending the time to type notes.  I can’t imagine them dressing them up with fonts, colors, lists, etc.  But what do I know.

The conference was good. I met couple of people including those from Vista project.  IBM and Intel personnel were there. Nothing new though.

WRT reminders, so OpenEMR does the dialing or is it integrated already with third party tools? I was able to make an password protected PDF file and send out to patients.  There is a scheduler that runs every night.

WRT FCKEditor, Specialty physicians can write procedure reports and save it in the same chart for future references. I plan to put keywords in braces so the system automatically fills in the patient name, age, birthdate, address, SOAP notes.
And Right from the editor, they could either print or fax.
