So I found this interesting, Amazon’s simple email service is now HIPAA eligible. Might be interesting to look at if it’s worth working into the OpenEMR codebase for sending out HIPAA compliant emails for those hosting on AWS infrastructure. I’m putting it on my bucket list of things I eventually hope to get to haha. Thought I’d throw that out there if any student/intern or ambitious developer wants to look into it.
