Access Levels ( OpenEMR )

Hello. I would like to ask if it is possible to allow a certain type of user to edit vitals and the new encounter form. The version I am asking about is is 4.1.0. I know it is an older version, but it is the one our client has at the moment and they are not looking to update soon.

Is your question: ONLY to ADD and EDIT vitals and is not allowed to do other things in OpeEMR?

What are the expected view rights on other client related medical information?

Hi, and thank you for your response. The client wants the orderlies and nurses to be only able to ADD, EDIT and view the vitals and the new encounter form, without being able to access other forms.

This will need extensive fine tuning of permissions. Probably fsgl can give you more support an help you to find one of the recent other questions om this topic on this topic.

Be sure to read the HELP file for ACL permissions it is very clear en concise.

At some point we should rustle up an article on this topic.

See this & this.

If you still have the courage:

Administration => ACL => Manual START READING. start experimenting and see where you get stuck. In my humble and simmple approach I would copy one with access to Vitals, Make this a “Vital-includer” or whatever you like to name this person. Next get rid of most permissions except for the ones needed to keep the Vitals inclusions… the make the fine tuning.

in ARO group click ADD, click on OpenEMRUser ADD Vitalist for name and vitals for Value.

Find your way around and add permissions to Vitalist

In ACL Admin click in GROUPS on Vitalist

Start adding the right that might be needed for administration, Encounters, Lists etc…

In lowest part of the screen Click on SUBMIT

Cick on ACL list

Scroll all the way down to find your permissions Vitalist and you can Edit to Deny of keep allowed. This might be to much and fine tuning too little. In that case go back to earlier steps and assign less of the differeint optins per time SUBMITTED an you can fine tune even more. For further fintuning you need to consult the manual and possible need to do some Developers work.

Till next reset you can find my experiment in Developers Deom 4.2

Hello

For achieving your requirement, fine tuning of ACL group and permissions accomplished with code customization work must be needed.
