Anybody notice that a Linux Distro has OEMR already in it?  That its been around since the end of 2009?

I saw that a couple of weeks ago.  I have not had a chance to try it.  Pretty cool!

I did see that.  I use Ubuntu, and ran across a wiki page for “Ubuntu-Med”, which sounded very interesting.  They have a “live CD”, but it is currently unavailable.  I’m not sure if the project is very active or not.  Further exploring led me to SUSE-Medical.  SUSE-Med lists GnuMED as their EMR app.  I have looked at GnuMED, and at the present it seems to be better suited for use in Europe (I’m in USA).  Much of the other software seems pretty under-developed for now.

Given the intense political climate in the USA right now, I will be focusing on products that are focused on the USA healthcare market.  That is why OpenEMR is one of my top choices.
