Looking at implementing OpenEMR at a clients site but concerned about ongoing certifications.
Is there a plan in place to obtain 2014 and subsequent certification for OpenEMR? Since there is a cost involved
in re-certifying the software every two years I’m wondering how this cost will be paid?
Is the group in a financial position to fund this cost on an ongoing basis or will there be some type of fund raiser?

We are actively working on certification for Stage II meaningful use. Good progress has been made already.

As to the money, we are always accepting donations. See Donate button on oemr.org and on open-emr.org. Most of the money is raised by Corporate memberships for rebranded versions of OpenEMR.
PS: All you corporate members that signed up last year, it’s time to send your renewal checks in……
